Highest in Apolobamba
Chaupi Orco (6044m) is the highest mountain in the Cordillera Apolobamba Mountain range which is located northeast of Lake Titicaca near Peruvian Border. Chaupi Orco is rarely climbing and also has one of the largest glaciers in Bolivia. This is still a very remote area of Bolivia, which is beautiful, and life continues in a traditional way with the area largely being untouched by modern society, which makes for a memorable experience.
