Climbing in Condoriri, Pequeño Alpamayo (5370m) and Cabeza del Condor (5648m)

The Condoriri massif consists of 13 different peaks each requiring different climbing abilities depending on the ascent. Pequeño Alpamayo (5370m) is the most popular peak in the area and is a great mountain for acclimatizing to the high altitude. The highest peak in the area is the Cabeza del Cóndor (5648m) which is also one of the most demanding peaks in the massif. Cabeza del Condor is also known as Condoriri is refered to as “the Matterhorn of Bolivia” for it’s accentuated peak. This program is a basic out lay for the Condoriri area and you are free to choose different peaks according to your ability. Other mountains in the area are Austria peak (5000m), Piramide Blanca (5230m) or Illusion (5330m). Although the summits are not as high as some other mountains in Bolivia, the mix of terrains and skills required will make this an unforgettable experience.
